Multilanguage
KNOWS is a tool, which allows interface and the user inputs to be independent of each other. This means that using an English Interface, a Chinese language content or test or vice versa can be created. Supports 650 UTF-8 supported languages for both user interface as well as user inputs.

Service Creation
The system is divided into various services, in order to manage the various operations, requiring varied competencies. A service is a cluster of activities with a definite objective.

User Role Creation
All users can be assigned multiple services. The access to these services is through the respective User portal.

Authorization based User portals
The system is highly sensitive to the access rights of an individual user & will carry user specific details. The access to various facilities is through the User portal.

User Activity Monitoring
All activities in the system are monitored and recorded. The master system administrator has the authorization to view and search the logs to trace all activities of every user.

Generation of billing information
The user activity login is refined to cater to the billing requirement. In case certain activities are offered as a paid service, a bill of information will be created.

Space for Advertisement
Adequate advertisement space is given in all pages to be used for commercial advertisement or for propagation of the objective of the Institution

Webyfy provides 24X7 online help line service to resolve any incident pertaining to the software.

Course Creation
Multiple courses can be created by authorized users, which can be rolled out to targeted Students. The course can contain specified reading materials, virtual class rooms, chat sessions, assignments, projects, online examinations etc.

Course content allocation
Multiple types of course content and evaluation tests can be allocated to a course or imported from a different course.

Course allocation and invitation
The created courses can be allocated to respective Students/ Student groups as necessary. Invitations sent to the prospective individual or group through email.

Activity Monitoring
All activities of the Students & other users are logged.

Course Evaluation
All online examinations, which do not take "text", are automatically evaluated and the marks are stored for assessment of the course.

Student groups
Student groups can be formed according to the courses and group specific knowledge base, bulletin board, notice board, calendar etc stored.

Knowledge Bank
The system provides an extensive facility to store knowledge in various forms. All file formats of Microsoft and Macromedia are acceptable to the system.

Knowledge Search
A Multi-dimensional Boolean search facility is provided to arrive at the exact requirement.

Online books
The system has a detailed functionality for the creation of hierarchical and interrelated HTML pages, which can be collated and published as online books.

Question Bank
The Question bank is a collection of multi-layer folders which house questions with varying attributes. There are no limits to the number of levels of folders or the number of questions per folder.

Questionnaire Bank
The questionnaires created can be stored in the system for easy retrieval for allocation to the respective Students of any specific course.
 
Transfer of knowledge from other systems
The knowledge base can be populated from the information obtained from chat sessions, notice boards and bulletin boards.

Read statistics and reader book marks and reviews
The system captures 'read statistics' on documents provided to the Students. The Student can bookmark HTML based documents. Review notes for documents can be created.

Paper upload
The system facilitates the publishing of papers. A publisher can also invite readers and request online reviews of the paper published in addition to ratings given by the readers.

Key word creation and indexing
All documents uploaded to the knowledge base can be given a set of keywords for easy searching. The documents are indexed as per the supplied keywords.

HTML content creation
Multiple HTML pages can be created & linked. This enables custom content development by the user.

Bulletin boards
Bulletin boards provide the facility to exchange ideas & obtain multiple view-points on a machine. The bulletin boards are organized in multiple folders as per the category of issue.

E-mail invitations
The system provides a standard facility of using an email to invite other users to view & give opinions on specific learning activities of a user.

Multiple boards
Multiple bulletin boards can simultaneously be active as per requirements.

Notice board
Specific information needing the attention of all users of a group is posted on the notice board. Only authorized persons can post notices on the board.

Ask the teacher service
The Student is provided with the facility to get personalized answers to questions asked. The teacher can post these answers to the FAQ area.

FAQ
Frequently Asked Questions & its appropriate answers are posted in the FAQ area. Information from other areas can also be transferred to this area. Every group can have their own FAQ area.

Emergency alerts
Emergency alerts can be sent by an administrator, to all users or to a specified group of users.

System Messages
The messaging system in KNOWS has the capability to understand the errors and generate appropriate messages. The Messaging System assists the user to access these messages.

Individual messages
Individual users can use the Messaging System to send messages to any other user or to a group of users.

Group messages
The administrator can send group messages to all the Students in specific groups.

Document uploading
The uploading of documents is referred to as a service & hence only authorized persons can execute this facility.

Document sharing
The author or approver of the document has the authority to declare it as a public document or, authorize a group access

Document Organization
The documents are organized in a multi-level hierarchical manner and can be searched using Boolean criteria.

Assignments / Projects for learners
Assignments & projects can be created in a multi-level hierarchical manner. The respective teachers can access these.

Assignment / Project allocation
The system provides a facility to allocate Assignments/Projects to groups of Students or to specific individuals as required.

Extensive Boolean search facility is provided.

Automatic Evaluation of tests
All questions, which are not of a text input nature, are evaluated automatically. Detailed facilities are provided for allocation of marks to individual questions based on rules or other wise.

Activity monitoring
A facility to monitor all activities and maintain appropriate logs is a feature. . The system administrator can access these logs to for generate appropriate reports.

Marks consolidation
Multiple tests and corresponding evaluation activities are possible in this system. The results of all such activities are consolidated with respect to an individual Student.

Chat session schedules
Chat is provided as an aid to communicate. The chat sessions can pertain to a group or be published as an expert chat where participants register.

Chat recordings
The proceedings of the chat can be recorded & may be used as inputs in the knowledge base.

Interactive Voice Response is provided to accept intimations even in the absence of service agents. It can also be used to deliver responses automatically.

Knowledge base
Using this system, knowledge can be organized appropriately & the required information can be retrieved at the opportune time.

Private Knowledge Base
In addition to the central knowledge base, individuals as well as groups can have independent private knowledge base.
